According towards law and economics insurance is a kind of risk management mostly exercised to circumvent danger of potential deprivation. Here are numerous ideas for probably lowering costs. Doing so with not as much as complete candor is certainly not inside your best interest. Plus the news that any moment conditions may arise, make you lose your property and leave you broken finally. Depending on age the person specific maintenance medications are regarded as good. The two appraisers definitely will discuss their reasons behind their position and attempt to come to a strong agreement, first if it ought to be repaired or succeeded, and secondly the charge to return the brick back in it's original condition replicate loss. Financial steadiness and posture in the insurance company ought to be a major variable When purchasing a great insurance contract. It does not express the state policy of a American Academy with Actuaries; nor does the idea necessarily reflect the opinions with the Academy's individual reps, members, or staff. This may enable you to visit their site make informed decisions for the exact kind of medical care insurance plans into which you wish to enter. If you should die during the fact that timeframe, the insurance business enterprise pays you the particular pre-determined amount. Whole life, universal life as well as variable universal everyday life policies each offer the opportunity to build cash value beyond the death benefit supplied. The last strategy to purchase auto insurance coverage is directly from an insurer; wither online or higher the phone. But if we have been to sustain a private-market cure for health insurance, actuaries need to clarify to the large society, in terms this society understands, the rationale to your following principles:. That is only if you need to save money onto your next insurance policy and get your business get extra internet action because of us! The greater the, the more associated risk you carry. " People requesting assistance up to now have asked should the following experts with all the following backgrounds can be good choices;. The non-life insurance is surely an insurance that covers properties. Would your family ought to relocate or or else change their total well being after losing your revenue? These new insurance providers offer something different. Secondly, when you call these insurance providers, it is a trend that the call will be placed on hold. Still the opposite party wouldn't release the mortgage. The majority of societies was not able to effectively support the sort of models and it does not function for tragic risks. So you will find there's huge available for coverages you can actually avoid some critical conditions even with low levels don't just flexible but in addition, they offer some time along with a friend who offers some previous experience across the world to get the asking price of regular preventative and also your personnel office;. The Indian Insurance coverage Act, 1938 mainly treated regulation of insurance business that way and not by using any general or perhaps special principles belonging to the law relating flames of other insurance cover contracts. Little success can be carried out if you will be physically unwell. It becomes any two for the price tag on one insurance insurance coverage. The doing of a thing that a reasonably prudent person probably would not do, or the failure to accomplish something which an important reasonably prudent human being would do less than like circumstances. It would be disappointing to see you were cited preferred rates in the beginning, only to understand you don't be eligible for them later. Third Party - It's another person apart from the policy holder and car insurance policy company who offers faced a loss and just might collect and be compensated regarding the policy holder's failure. So to keep up a balance, the online division in the insurance sector comes to be a helping hand for individuals. Some insurance providers don't charge these kind of fees but accomplish give us an important discount if most people pay our entire premium available as one lump sum. Unlike with other styles of "permanent insurance" including whole life, universal life, and variable common life, there is zero additional cash value put together with this specific policy. And have a more elaborate trial of so. ".

CSAC votes 4-1 against Sonnen, indefinite suspension upheld

In an effort to regain his license to fight, Chael Sonnen testified today in front of the California State Athletic Commission in Los Angeles. He was asked questions about prior testimony in his positive steroid test case from UFC 117 and his recent real estate scam run-in with the feds in Oregon. Sonnen even mentioned the fact that he's been offered a slot on the UFC's reality show "The Ultimate Fighter," and said if even he wasn't licensed the commission is effectively retiring him.

Apparently, he couldn't do a thing to alter the commission's stance. The commission voted 4-1 in favor of keeping his license in suspended status.

With the help of ESPN.com's Josh Gross and MMAjunkie's Steven Marrocco, Cage Potato recapped some of the major moments of the hearing:

- Sonnen did his best to shift blame about his testosterone therapy statements, saying Matt Lindland informed him that he was cleared for TRT in Nevada and California. Sonnen admitted that he never had a conversation with the NSAC's Keith Kizer about it, and never intended to make it sound like he did.

- Kizer testified that he had a conversation with Matt Lindland in 2008 about a therapeutic use exemption, but Sonnen's name wasn't brought up specifically. Kizer pointed out a false statement in a previous declaration from Sonnen, in which he said that the NSAC told him not to declare testosterone injections in his pre-fight medical questionnaire.

- Sonnen became emotional while giving testimony about his fighting career. His eyes welled up as he discussed the opportunities he'd be missing out on if he wasn't re-licensed, including a "once in a lifetime" coaching gig on The Ultimate Fighter, which could lead to a title shot if he beat his rival coach (Michael Bisping). "If I don't get my license today I'm effectively retired," Sonnen said. "That came from the boss, Dana White…I worked for this chance my whole life. I don't want to retire today."

On Twitter, Gross clarified what "indefinite" means.

So there's a chance Sonnen could get re-licensed elsewhere outside of California, but that doesn't mean his status would change in Nevada. Why is Nevada important? That's where TUF is taped.

Keith Kizer, the executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, has said repeatedly that Sonnen needs a license to coach on TUF. Sonnen confirmed during the hearing that he was offered a coaching against Michael Bisping on TUF 14. Gross reported that Sonnen needs his license re-established by June 5 to be eligible.

ROUNDTABLE: What was your favorite moment from UFC 129? Hansen, Perez, Hobaugh, Marsh, Hyden, Pelkey and Penick

UFC_129_poster_180_36.jpg
What was your favorite moment from UFC 129?

RICH HANSEN, MMATORCH COLUMNIST

Easily, my favorite moment of UFC 129 was when I calculated the Confidence Picks game entries and had the distinct pleasure of telling Jamie Penick that he missed out on winning that game's title by falling short on the fourth tie-breaker. But since he lapped the field in the betting contest that joy was fleeting, so I suppose seeing Lyoto Machida announce to the world that he is a force to be reckoned with at 205 is the lasting memory for me.

ANWAR PEREZ, MMATORCH COLUMNIST

No question it was the heart of Mark Hominick moving forward and doing his best - after being bloodied, bruised, and disfigured - to defeat the champ in five rounds and never giving up. Machida may have the memory of the night as it's hard to forget a KO like that, but Hominick showed true heart of a champion, and didn't need a belt to prove it.

ERIC HOBAUGH, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR

When Randy Couture said to Joe Rogan "I think the last time we had this conversation I had all my teeth." It would have been really easy to have been less than pleasant after getting his ass beat by Lyoto Machida. I think that has been the big draw of Couture as a fighter over the years. When he wins he is humble and when he looses he makes fun of him self. This is one of the many reasons I will miss him in the octagon.

GRIFFIN MARSH, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR

THE KARATE KID KRANE KICK! ... duh

FRANK HYDEN, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR

I liked Lyoto Machida's homage to The Karate Kid. I know it's mixing characters from that movie, but I was expecting a "sweep the leg," or a "put him in a bodybag, Lyoto!" soundbite from Mike Goldberg or Joe Rogan. That highlight reel kick from Machida to put the seal on Randy Couture's illustrious career was my favorite moment for sure. There was other great stuff, but that was it for me. It was just a beautiful kick.

MATT PELKEY, MMATORCH COLUMNIST

So many to choose from: Lyoto's best Daniel Larusso in the All Valley Karate Tournament impression, the subsequent slow-mo replays of Randy Couture's tooth flying through the air, Rory MacDonald's three suplexes in one round, Pablo Garza's flying triangle, John Makdessi's spinning backfist. But for me, it was the fifth round of Aldo-Hominick. After sustaining the beating of a lifetime through four rounds, Hominick managed to score his first takedown of the fight a minute into the last round. From there he started pouring on the punishment. He wasn't able to get the finish in needed, but in the hope spot to end all hope spots (pro wrestling reference) Hominick had my heart beating in my throat as the time ticked down. It was one of the gutsiest performances I've ever seen in sports, and while it wasn't enough to wrest the title away from Aldo, it was enough to earn a draw on my personal (irrelevant) scorecard: 10-9, 9-10, 10-9, 10-9, 8-10...47-47. Fight of the Year so far.

JAMIE PENICK, MMATORCH EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

It's a tossup for me between Machida's Karate Kid homage against Randy Couture and Rory MacDonald rag-dolling Nate Diaz in the third round of their fight with three suplex-like slams. Though the main event would ultimately be a let-down ending to the UFC's historic night in Toronto, those two highlights alone would have made up for it. But throw in Mark Hominick's gutsy performance in his loss to Jose Aldo in an excellent fight, John Makdessi throwing in a spinning back fist knockout with a beautiful setup, Pablo Garza pulling off the flying triangle choke, Jason MacDonald utilizing excellent technique in his own triangle submission, this was simply a fantastic night of fights with tons of great moments. But Machida and Rory MacDonald topped the list for me.

Welterweights Rory MacDonald and Mike Pyle meet at UFC 133 in Philadelphia

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

Logo_Octogon_150_20.jpg
Fresh off a highly impressive victory over Nate Diaz at UFC 129, Rory MacDonald will get right back into action this summer, as the UFC announced on Monday that he'll meet Mike Pyle at UFC 133 in August.

The 21-year-old will fight for just the second time outside of his home country of Canada, having previously fought in the United States in his UFC debut last January. MacDonald brings an 11-1 record into his fourth UFC appearance, with his sole career loss coming against Carlos Condit in a fantastic 2010 fight, where he won the first two rounds before being overwhelmed and stopped with seconds remaining in the third.

Pyle is riding a three fight win streak, and brings a 4-2 mark in his six UFC appearances. Though he was stopped in two of his first three fights in the organization - by Brock Larson on short notice and later by Jake Ellenberger - Pyle has impressed greatly in his last two outings. The 35-year-old halted the hype train of John Hathaway in England last October before sending veteran Ricardo Almeida into retirement with a hard fought decision victory at UFC 128 in March.

UFC 133 takes place from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Penn. on August 6, headlined by the light heavyweight bout between Rashad Evans and Phil Davis.

Penick's Analysis: This is an awesome welterweight fight for this card. Pyle is a legitimately difficult opponent for anyone in the division, and after his last two wins against Hathaway and Almeida is coming up the ladder in a strong way. MacDonald is a supreme talent, and as one of the youngest fighters on the UFC roster has a long future ahead of him. This is another big test and big opportunity for him after an impressive win over Nate Diaz, and this should be a fantastic fight for this card and for the fans in Philly.

How Do I Remove Blue Masking Tape Residue

Just finished a 3-color paint job with Tamiya colors. After 3 dips and "do-overs" not too bad.  But in removing the mask from the last color mask I see some adhesive residue on some paint that was 24 hours cured when masked.  The surface is good enough to go ahead and clear before polishing.  I would think the residue  should be removed before clearing.  Any suggestions on how to remove the residue and not damage the paint.  Thanks to the brain trust that always comes through.

Maiquel Falcao off UFC 134 in Brazil, released from UFC contract

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

Logo_Octagon2_150_6.jpg
In a surprising move, the UFC has removed Brazilian fighter Maiquel Falcao out of a bout with Tom Lawlor at UFC 134 and have released him from his contract, according to multiple published reports.

The release comes as Falcao is still battling legal problems in Brazil stemming from a 2002 incident. After a fight between two groups broke out, Falcao was charged and sentenced to 24 months of house arrest.

After eight months, Falcao moved homes and his lawyer advised him he'd be alright serving his time at the new home. However, upon returning to the original town following his UFC debut last year, Falcao was arrested and has had on-going issues with the authorities in getting it cleared up.

According to MMAJunkie.com, Falcao's camp believes all of the charges will be dropped by September, and that this release could be temporary.

But for now, Falcao is out of the organization and out of a fight in his home country when the UFC returns in August.

Penick's Analysis: They may have run into issues with booking Falcao on the Rio card with local authorities, and that could be a factor into this. That's just speculating, of course, but his camp says they understand why the UFC made this move and they're hoping he'll be back sooner rather than later, so there are extenuating circumstances for the release. It's unfortunate for him and for Lawlor, who now will hope to get on another card sometime soon.

Couture likes Hamill over ‘Rampage’ at UFC 130

Randy Couture is breaking down UFC fights for Affliction. In this video, he likes the stronger wrestler in the Quinton "Rampage" Jackson-Matt Hamill fight. Couture respects Rampage's punching power, but the ground work of Hamill is enough to make him pick the upset.

Jackson is coming off a narrow win over Lyoto Machida while Hamill is fresh off beating up Tito Ortiz. Everyone's old pal Tom Atencio "goes out on a limb" and chooses Jackson. Rampage is a minus-260 favorite.

UFC 130 betting odds (remaining fights posted later):

Quinton Jackson (-260) vs. Matt Hamill (+200)
Roy Nelson (-115) vs. Frank Mir (-115)
Brian Stann (-115) vs. Jorge Santiago (-115)
Thiago Alves (-220) vs. Rick Story (+180)

"Rampage" Jackson says he wasn't excited with Matt Hamill replacing Thiago Silva as his UFC 130 opponent

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

JacksonRampage_150_72.jpg
If you're not thrilled about the upcoming UFC 130 main event between Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Matt Hamill, don't worry, you're not the only one lacking excitement for the bout.

Jackson says he wasn't excited with the replacement fight after the UFC pulled Thiago Silva from the event for failing his UFC 125 drug test, but added that there's not a lot that excites him in general.

"Thiago Silva is the type of guy I would love to fight because he has great stand up and he comes to fight most of the time, so I was looking forward to fighting a guy like that," Jackson said in comments made to Ariel Helwani at MMAFighting.com this week. "Matt Hamill wasn't on my radar at all. I wasn't excited at all. But then again, not a whole lot gets me excited."

For Rampage, he's coming into the fight against a guy that he feels he can beat already. He doesn't need to psyche himself up for the fight, but believes that is precisely what Hamill has been doing with comments recently that he would break Rampage's will on May 28.

"He's just got to jive himself up so he actually thinks he can stay with me. If you've seen my fights over history, I don't think my will gets broken too often for anybody to even say that," Jackson said. "Matt Hamill is a great wrestler and stuff like that, but I've got more experience than him and I've fought a lot tougher people than he's fought. He's got a while to go before he can say he can break anybody's will."

Jackson said he still plans on delivering an entertaining fight on May 28, despite his own personal reservations for his opponent, and expects to bring an aggressive and exciting gameplan into Las Vegas for the fans.

Link to Original Source Article

Penick's Analysis: One thing Rampage needs to be careful of is getting too confident about this fight and not respecting Hamill. He knows Hamill's got his wrestling, but Hamill can give him troubles in this fight overall if he's not fully prepared for him. It's a possible trap fight for Rampage if he doesn't have his head in the game, but ultimately I still favor him to win and believe he'll come out to put on a show in the main event. With two straight main event fights that he felt didn't go the way he wanted, I think he'll be out to shake that up a bit and to pick up an exciting and decisive win for the first time since knocking out Wanderlei Silva at the end of 2008.

UFC 132 "Prelims Live" coming to Spike TV; could feature Guillard vs. Roller and Sotiropoulos vs. Dos Anjos

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

Logo_Octagon2_210.jpg
In their continued efforts to show as many fights as possible to their fans, the UFC will be broadcasting another hour of preliminary card fights on Spike TV for UFC 132 in July, according to a report from MMAJunkie.com.

Appropriately, it will be the sixth of 12 Spike prelim broadcasts for 2011, following UFC 126, 128, 129, 130 and 131.

Though none of the fights have been officially tapped for the broadcast, the report states the two front-runner fights are the lightweight bouts in Melvin Guillard vs. Shane Roller and George Sotiropoulos vs. Rafael Dos Anjos.

The pay-per-view event takes place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on July 2, headlined by the Bantamweight Championship bout between Urijah Faber and Dominick Cruz.

Dana White on keeping Strikeforce as a separate promotion from the UFC - "We'll see how it goes"

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

WhiteDana_TB150_26.jpg
The UFC's purchase of Strikeforce in March led to a widespread belief that Strikeforce's days as an organization are numbered. Though UFC President Dana White preached "business as usual" from the outset, there hasn't been much to suggest that Strikeforce will survive for a lengthy period of time.

The organization's deal with Showtime has the UFC hesitant to appear like they're poaching talent and bringing a collapse to Strikeforce, but a UFC deal with the network would be a potential way alleviate the need to keep appearances up. Along with that, the apparent imminence of a fight between Georges St. Pierre and Strikeforce's biggest name outside of Fedor Emelianenko in Nick Diaz could be the potential sign of the floodgates being open to crossovers into the UFC.

Add in to that comments from White in one of his most recent interviews, and I don't know that optimism on Strikeforce's future is in order.

Speaking with the Forbes Sports Money program, White discussed the organization's purchase of Strikeforce in March.

"The reality is that we continue to expand and grow. We do need more fighters," he said. "And, we love the content. The one thing that these guys have that do it right, and the ones that we usually end up buying, they have a great library, they have a stable of fighters, and if they have a name and a television deal like Strikeforce did, not a bad thing either."

While the acquisition made sense for them, keeping the smaller organization alive as a separate entity may only be a short term necessity, and White's comments on the matter don't inspire confidence that the smaller organization will be kept around for the long haul.

"The thing with Strikeforce is, when we acquired them they have a deal with Showtime," White explained. "We're working with Showtime now, which I've had a very rocky relationship with (laughs). Lorenzo is working with them right now. We're going to try to run this thing separately, and we'll see how it goes. We'll see if we can pull it off, if we can make it happen. If it didn't happen the worst case scenario that happens if we own Strikeforce is these guys roll over into the UFC."

That's about how things wound up working out after the purchase of Pride, and eventually with World Extreme Cagefighting. Whether it happens with Strikeforce sooner or later remains to be seen, but there were no sureties in White's statements in this interview. Check out the full piece below:

Penick's Analysis: I'm in the camp that believes the UFC will absorb Strikeforce as soon as they're able. If that means they can work with Showtime to bring UFC events to the network in place of Strikeforce, that would be one big way to skirt the major issue they have in absorbing the organization right now. After already cleaning out the front office, and looking to begin the crossover fights with GSP-Diaz, it's just going to be a matter of time before Strikeforce is no longer an MMA promotion. It's an inevitability at this point.

Jamie Varner not signed on for Shinya Aoki fight at DREAM 17, reportedly unlikely to happen

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

logo_dream_150q_25.jpg
Though it was reported over the weekend that a bout between Jamie Varner and Shinya Aoki was all but finalized for DREAM 17 later this month, MMAWeekly.com now reports that the fight is looking more and more unlikely.

Per Varner's management at KO Reps, Varner has not signed a contract for the fight, and it's looking less likely that one will be signed for the fight. Varner has a scheduled fight this weekend at an XFO event in Illinois that he'll be taking regardless of whether he signs on for this one or not.

Antonio McKee has also been contacted about the fight, but has not signed on himself, leaving Aoki without an opponent at this time with Willamy Freire being unable to get a visa to take the fight in Japan.

Link to Original Source Article

Penick's Analysis: It's unfortunate that they haven't been able to lock a fight up for Aoki for the card, as this bout with Varner would have been a good one. Perhaps they'll still get it together, and it's not quite dead in the water yet, but this might end up with Aoki fighting someone even further down the ladder, if anyone at all, if they can't get this together.

Brock Lesnar's new autobiography "Death Clutch: My Story of Determination, Domination, and Survival" hits stores next week, and publishing company Harper Collins now has a preview of several chapters of the book available. Check out the the below quote from the back of book, then check out the link for the preview. The book goes on sale on May 24.

"There has been a lot written about me over the years, and I have managed to ignore most of it. I don't watch much TV. I don't spend any time on the internet. I don't read the fan magazines. And I don't listen to gossip.

But even though I do my best to stay away from all of the hype, people are always coming up and asking about the latest rumor some jackass started about me. I can't stay away from it. It's everywhere. People want to know what really happened, the story of my life as I've lived it.

The bottom line: I don't talk about my personal life with strangers. This one time, and this one time only, you are invited to join me in my private life for a few hours. Just don't ever expect another invitation."

BELLATOR 45 RESULTS: Christian M'Pumbu captures first Bellator Light Heavyweight Championship, Patricio "Pitbull" Freire earns rematch with Joe Warren

Logo_Bellator_150_294.jpg
The first Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion was crowned on Saturday night at Bellator 45 in Lake Charles, La., as Christian M'Pumbu defeated fellow finalist Richard Hale. In addition to his title win, Patricio "Pitbull" Freire earned another shot at Bellator Featherweight Champion Joe Warren with a decision win over Daniel Strauss in the season four featherweight tournament.

M'Pumbu's win came in the third round of their bout on MTV2, where he finished Hale with a barrage of strikes after likely splitting the first two rounds. The TKO finish was M'Pumbu's third stoppage win in as many fights in the Bellator season four light heavyweight tournament, the inaugural tournament in the division.

Freire picked up a unanimous decision win over Strauss to take the season four featherweight tournament and the title shot that went along with it. He'll now get a chance to avenge his only career loss, suffered by split decision in the season two featherweight tournament final in a fight that he nearly finished in the first round.

In other action on the night's card, one-time Strikeforce competitor and M-1 prospect Karl Amoussou suffered a split decision loss to Sam Alvey.

27-year-old lightweight Maximo Blanco signs with Strikeforce

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

Logo_Octagon2_150_10.jpg
27-year-old lightweight free agent Maximo Blanco has signed with Strikeforce, according to a report from Sherdog.com.

The Venezuelan moved to Japan as a teenager, attending high school and college in the country before turning his attention to MMA. After a rough early stretch of his career, where he went just 2-2-1 with one no contest, he turned things around over the last two years.

After taking the title of Lightweight King of Pancrase in 2009, he won five straight fights under the World Victory Road banner. He's won six straight fights overall, a stretch that included five straight by knockout or TKO before a decision win over Won Sik Park in December.

Blanco is looking to make a permanent move to the United States, and along with this signing Blanco's management is looking to find a new training home for him with a camp here before he makes his U.S. debut in Strikeforce.

Penick's Analysis: This is a good signing for Strikeforce and will be a big opportunity for Blanco to see where he's at in the division against what is generally seen as the higher level of competition under the Zuffa banner at lightweight. After six straight wins, he'll likely be matched up against one of Strikeforce's top guys, and could even be thrown into a fight with Gilbert Melendez if they don't get a crossover fight with the UFC together for the Strikeforce Champ first.

What you need to know from this week on “The Ultimate Fighter”

If Season 13 of "The Ultimate Fighter" has been missing anything, it's a bit of that pizazz from Brock Lesnar's WWE days. The former WWE champ still hasn't gone back to his roots, but between Chris Cope's Ric Flair-like "wooos" and Junior dos Santos screaming "what" like he was watching "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Episode 9 felt like being at a wrestling event.

It also turned out to be about and looking past an opponent and weak excuses.

Cope is supposedly the weak link on the show, but he proved everyone wrong again by pulling the upset on Team dos Santos' No. 1 pick Shamar Bailey.

UFC president Dana White called it before the fight saying Bailey looked one-dimensional in his opening round win and was overlooking Cope. Cope wasn't exactly Mr. Aggressive, but he successfully defended against nine takedown attempts and gassed Bailey on his way to a surprising 20-18 win.

Dos Santos was shocked.

"That [decision] was terrible for me," dos Santos said. "I looked at Dana and said 'what?'"

Bailey was also in disbelief saying, "he fought well, but I don't know about that. You can't win backing up the whole time."

White seemed pleased that Cope got the decision and wasn't hearing Bailey's lame excuse during a one-on-one conversation shortly after the fight.

"I just want to let you know I took a risk," Bailey told White. "I wanted to show you I could bang and not just wrestle. I left it in the hands of the judges. I could've took the easy way out and just took him down."

White quickly pointed to Bailey that he did try to take Cope down throughout the fight and had zero success.

There was no controversy in quarterfinal fight No. 1. Knowing that Ramsey Nijem is a strong wrestler, Brock Lesnar worked with Clay Harvison on his takedown defense. Harvison was drilled hard on getting out of the clinch.

Practice didn't make perfect. He was taken down just 10 seconds into the fight. When he tried to get back up he left his back exposed. Nijem worked to get the hooks in, then flattened out Harvison before locking on a rear-naked choke. It was all over in 56 seconds.

Next week it looks like Tony Ferguson goes psycho in the TUF house. He also faces Ryan McGillivray while Zach Davis battles "Cold Steel" Chuck O'Neil.

Despite burnout, Nick Diaz wants fight with UFC Welterweight Champ Georges St. Pierre

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

Nick_Diaz_Strikeforce.jpg
Strikeforce Welterweight Champion Nick Diaz has been feeling burnt out on the sport of mixed martial arts, with Strikeforce keeping him very active over the last year, but with the possibility opening up of a fight with UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre, Diaz's trainer Cesar Gracie says he would be very willing to take that fight.

"Nick wants that fight. He would love to take that fight," Gracie said in comments made to MMAWeekly.com. "Obviously, I would like to put another one of my guys against Georges St. Pierre, so we definitely want that fight."

The motivation of a fight with the consensus #1 welterweight in the world is more than enough to pull Diaz out of his doldrums. The 27-year-old complained about his schedule following his win over Paul Daley in April, and said he wasn't sure what his future was in the sport. Now, after St. Pierre defeated his teammate Jake Shields last weekend at UFC 129, Gracie believes Diaz needs the motivation of this fight to keep him going in the sport.

"It's no secret Nick was a little bit burnt out. He needs a bigger challenge," Gracie said. "No disrespect to the guys he's been fighting because each one of them has brought something to the table. Paul Daley hits really hard, good hands, very dangerous opponent. [Evangelista] Cyborg, great kicks, dangerous opponent. K.J. Noons really good boxing also, dangerous, and Nick beat them all at their strengths.

"It's definitely something Nick wants to motivate him even more. I think he kind of needs that, I really do."

Diaz is still wanting to box, but the UFC will try to get him out of that mindset, likely in the form of more monetary compensation than his current contract holds.

"The way we had the Strikeforce contract that we signed about a year ago, maybe a little less than that, was that here we're going to pay you this much money per fight," Gracie said. "It's not quite the kind of money you probably should be making, but you're going to be able to make it up because you're going to be able to do boxing, and that might be the more lucrative deal. There was pluses involved and one of the benefits or bonuses, whatever you want to call it, was being able to box."

"Now all of a sudden if that's taken away, we need to re-structure the contract maybe, that's the only thing. I'm thinking that Dana's going to be perceptive to this and Nick also working with that. It's just one of those things we all have to sit down and figure it out."

Those conversations will be taking place in short order, and UFC President Dana White said last weekend that though Diaz has it in his contract to allow him to box, he's hoping to convince him otherwise. And according to Gracie, it's now pretty much up to White and UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta to determine what the next step will be.

"There's a lot of questions to be answered and really the only people that can answer the questions are Lorenzo and Dana," said Gracie.

"It'd be great, best case scenario for us would be Nick boxes and then he goes and fights GSP. But again, the person with the answer, the guys that have the answers to all of this and can make everything happen is Lorenzo Fertitta and Dana White."

Penick's Analysis: I think we're moving towards this fight being a highly likely possibility, with all sides showing a lot of interest in it. I think if the UFC renegotiates Diaz's contract to offer him more money to take out the boxing clause, I think he'd accept. This is a huge fight for him, and one he's talked about a lot over the last couple of years. He's called St. Pierre out when the fight wasn't a realistic possibility, and now that it is he's still on board for the fight. If the UFC can figure out the logistics with the Showtime contract and make this happen, it will be a fantastic matchup at 170 lbs.

Former WEC matchmaker Sean Shelby now handling matchmaking in Strikeforce

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

LogoWEC_150_148.jpg
"Business as usual" may still be the mantra on the surface of Zuffa's acquisition of Strikeforce in March, but behind the scenes it's been anything but, and the new sister organization of the UFC now has a number of new faces and a new title for their former CEO.

Without any major announcement, Scott Coker's title has been changed from Strikeforce President and CEO to Strikeforce Executive Vice President and General Manager. The title change for Coker was listed on the agenda for this week's Fighter Summit in Las Vegas, and while there hasn't been any word on whether his new title means a diminished capacity in control of Strikeforce, he's at least still got his position.

According to a report from MMAWeekly.com, former WEC matchmaker-turned-UFC-employee Sean Shelby has now taken over the reins of Strikeforce as their new matchmaker, and former Strikeforce matchmakers Rich Chou and Bob Cook have been released from their duties.

Cook is involved with a number of fighters through both the American Kickboxing Academy and as part of Zinkin Entertainment, which represents a number of top fighters in the sport including Forrest Griffin, Cain Velasquez, and Jon Fitch.

As for Chou, he has been a key component to a number of organizations in the past, including Rumble at the Rock in Hawaii and the now-defunct EliteXC before joining Strikeforce.

Shelby was the main WEC matchmaker before the UFC merged the smaller organization in, and he had been helping Joe Silva in booking fights in the smaller weight classes prior to this new assignment.

Link to Original Source Article

Penick's Analysis: I'm not entirely surprised by the move. Zuffa was going to plug their people into roles like this with the merger, and with a number of redundant roles in a fight company, they were always going to go with those they were familiar with over the new staff. Chou and Cook really did do a great job in putting fights together in Strikeforce, and the fights set up in the organization were always their strongest suit. But Shelby is an excellent matchmaker in his own right, and will do a great job running that part of the organization going forward.

Amanda Nunes vs. Julie Kedzie booked for June 18 Strikeforce "Overeem vs. Werdum" event

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

LogoStrikeforce2010_105_151.png
There's one clear change already being made for Strikeforce cards now that Zuffa is in control of the ship, and that's the booking of preliminary card fights for their events with contracted talent instead of with a local booker.

The organization announced on Friday another bout for next month's Strikeforce "Overeem vs. Werdum" event at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, as Julie Kedzie and Amanda Nunes will faceoff on the card.

Kedzie makes her Strikeforce debut riding a four fight winning streak, most recently defeating Kaitlin Young in April to win the Jackson's MMA Series Women's Bantamweight Championship. The seven-year veteran is perhaps best known for her EliteXC loss to Gina Carano, but she has posted an 8-2 record in ten fights since that loss.

22-year-old Brazilian Nunes enters her second fight in Strikeforce on a six fight win streak since losing her professional debut. In her Strikeforce debut in January, she blasted through Julia Budd, knocking her out in 14 seconds.

Strikeforce "Overeem vs. Werdum" takes place on June 18, airing live on Showtime and headlined by the heavyweight bout between Alistair Overeem and Fabricio Werdum.

Penick's Analysis: They are really stacking this card for Strikeforce, and I'd assume we'll be seeing a number of fights on Facebook from the event with what they are booking. It's a good thing for the fighters under contract with Strikeforce, as it means they'll get booked a lot more often, and it's going to make these cards more interesting and more stacked overall. This fight itself should be an entertaining one, as Nunes was highly impressive in her win over Budd and has stopped all of the opponents she's beaten, and Kedzie is a tough veteran challenge for her.

Lacy interview: Boxer not impressed with Diaz’s technical boxing

The Nick Diaz-Jeff Lacy fight may never materialize. Either way Diaz has struck a nerve in the boxing world. The MMA champion at 170 pounds has been asking for a boxing match against high level boxers for a year or so. Lacy stepped up and sounded insulted that Diaz, who is 1-0 as a pro boxer, would have the gall to call him out.

"I really don't understand what was going through his mind. I understand he may love a challenge [but] I'm up for this more than you would ever know," Lacy told ESPN1100 in Las Vegas. "I don't want to down talk the sport, I love MMA, but when you have people talking about it's taking away from boxing, no."

Lacy isn't impressed with the technical skills of most MMA fighters when it comes to their boxing.

"It's a 'Toughman' contest when they're striking. Two fighters standing up going blow for blow. That's not boxing. Boxing is not Toughman. You're using skill, dancing around what you can see, but can't hit."

Lacy got testy when he was told the pressure's on him.

"How would you figure the pressure's on me when this is something I've been doing all my life? It's somehting I can close my eyes and do," Lacy said. "There pressure's on him to step over, just like the pressure was on James [Toney] to step over to something he's never done before."

Lacy doesn't think Diaz can box with him.

"This is something I love to do, and I've dealt with way better technical fighters than this guy Diaz, is gonna present to me," Lacy said. "I've dealt with a lot of different styles. He's stepping into my ring, but it's gonna be tougher for me? I don't think so."

Lacy isn't worried about Diaz's chin and knows that the Strikeforce welterweight champ also cuts easily.

Check out the rest of the conversation as Dave Cokin and The Telegraph's Gareth Davies say Diaz has no shot of winning this fight. Davies said the fight won't last three rounds.

It may not come off at all if Diaz's ego is soothe by Zuffa management. When the news emerged that Diaz had signed a boxing bout agreement, his camp was quick to point out that it won't take the boxing match in October if the MMA star is given a shot at UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre.

27-year-old lightweight Maximo Blanco signs with Strikeforce

QUOTABLES: Gray Maynard rips into Anthony Pettis, defends former roommate Rashad Evans

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

gray_maynard_150_5.jpg
"Who has [Anthony Pettis] fought? I've been in the trenches this whole time fighting the toughest guys. He throws one kick and then he's the greatest in the world? Let's look at who he's fought. Ben Henderson is the best name. And I don't mind fighting him; I don't care if I win the belt and then I have to take him on. But for me, guys like [Jim] Miller, [Gilbert] Melendez and all of these guys who have been on the f***ing grind, fighting the best competition for the past few years... that's what I look at. Who have you fought? I don't care about how good you looked when you fought a scrub. That doesn't matter. If a guy isn't good then you're not supposed to look good. And for me, [Pettis] has fought one good guy in Ben, and he isn't proven yet. He's tough as hell, but we'll see...

S*** man, a lot of people have Rashad wrong. He's the most down-to-earth guy, unbelievably nice. Here?s an example: My mom loves horses. She will talk your friggin' ear off about horses if you let her. Most people try to get out of it when she starts talking about them. [Rashad] has talked to my mom, and she brought up horses. He sat there and talked to her for two hours about horses, asking her questions and stuff. He's one of the coolest guys I know. In college he was really cool, one of my best friends.

The 'problem,' though, is that Rashad likes to tell the truth in the media. Everyone likes to go the politician-route, the mother f***er who lies. People need to realize that if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't true. People who are real, they don't like that. They like Hollywood these days. They like s*** that isn't real. They get mad at him because he talks from the heart."

-A fired up Gray Maynard talks to Jon Luther at MMAFA.TV about Anthony Pettis still being in line for a title shot and defends his former Michigan State roommate and friend Rashad Evans from critics.

Penick's Analysis: In a lot of ways I agree with Maynard's criticisms of Pettis, and some of them are things I've written right here before. And even if he beats Clay Guida in June, Pettis will still be taking a pretty big leap ahead of guys like Miller and Melendez. Still, it's not his fault the UFC is giving him the opportunity. He was told heading into WEC 53 that the winner of his fight with Ben Henderson was getting a title shot. He went out and had his best career performance and ended it with that fantastic kick, but the shot was his whether that would have happened or not, that just made it an easier sell.

And after what Henderson was able to do against Mark Bocek last weekend at UFC 129, I think it makes Pettis' performance in December even more impressive, because Henderson is no scrub. Still, it can't be held against him that the UFC is pushing him ahead of the other, more deserving names. He's being given an opportunity and he continues to seize it. If he beats Guida and gets his shot, then Maynard will have a chance to prove that Pettis doesn't belong in there with him if he also beats Edgar later this month. That's the only place this type of talk will matter.

As for the comments on Evans, there always seems to be multiple sides of Rashad that make it out to the public. He might be the most misunderstood fighter in the sport, with a large segment of fans taking everything he says in the wrong way, because when it comes to interviews like this with people that have known him personally the same things are said a lot of the time. It's a side of Evans that a lot of people, for whatever reason, don't want to let themselves see, but it's a side of him that is there and will continue to be praised by his friends and those close to him.
